Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh's 'Alpha' To Release On Christmas 2025
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's 'Alpha' will hit the screens on December 25, 2025.
The Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe is one of the most popular Indian franchises. 2025 is going to be a big year for the spy universe, as it will witness the release of two films -- 'War 2' (Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani) and 'Alpha' (Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh, and Bobby Deol). In the latest entertainment news, Alia Bhatt on Friday morning confirmed the release date of 'Alpha'. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh-starrer 'Alpha' is going to be released in cinemas on December 25, 2024. Taking to Instagram Stories, Alia Bhatt announced the release date, saying, "#Alpha. 25.12.2025."

For the unversed, 'Alpha' is YRF Spy Universe's first female-led spy film. The film is being directed by 'The Railway Men' fame Shiv Rawail, while Aditya Chopra is producing it.
The YRF Spy Universe started with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012) and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017). The Spy Universe then progressed further with 'War' (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
'Pathaan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was one of the biggest Indian hits of 2023. The last film in YRF Spy Universe was 'Tiger 3', starring Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, and Katrina Kaif.
The next film in the universe is 'War 2', starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. The film is slated to release in cinemas on Independence Day 2025.
Speaking of Sharvari, she had made her acting debut with the Prime Video series 'The Forgotten Army', and her film debut came with 'Bunty aur Babli 2' in 2021.
She is currently basking in the glory of her recent success with 'Munjya'. She was last seen in Nikkhil Advani's 'Vedaa', alongside John Abraham and Abhishek Banerjee.
Coming back to Alia Bhatt, she will be next seen in Vasan Bala’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Jigra’. The movie will also feature Vedang Raina who made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s 2023 movie ‘The Archies’.
‘Jigra’ is being produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. The film is slated to release in cinemas on October 11, 2024.
