Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh To Star In YRF Spy Universe Film 'Alpha'
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will star in YRF Spy Universe's film titled 'Alpha'.
Alia Bhatt on Friday morning finally unveiled the title for YRF Spy Universe's female-fronted installment. In the latest entertainment news, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will star in 'Alpha'. Both the actresses will be playing the role of super agents in the new Hindi film. Taking to Instagram, Alia Bhatt shared an announcement video, and she captioned the post, "It’s the time of the ALPHA. Girls!"

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari have already begun filming for the new Hindi movie and it is being directed by Shiv Rawail, who debuted as a filmmaker with the studio's hit 2023 Netflix series 'The Railway Men'.
“This is a clear take by YRF to highlight a societal misinterpretation that only men can be Alphas,” YRF said in a statement.
For the unversed, the YRF Spy Universe kicked off with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012) and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017).
The Spy Universe then progressed further with 'War' (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
'Pathaan', starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was one of the biggest Indian hits of 2023. The last film in YRF Spy Universe was 'Tiger 3', starring Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, and Katrina Kaif.
The next film in the universe is 'War 2', starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are also expected to feature in ambitious 'Tiger vs Pathaan'.
Speaking of Sharvari, she had made her acting debut with Prime Video series 'The Forgotten Army', and her film debut came with 'Bunty aur Babli 2' in 2021.
She is currently basking in the glory of her recent success with 'Munjya'. The film is nearing the Rs 100 crore mark in India.
Coming back to Alia Bhatt, will be next seen in Vasan Bala’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Jigra’. The movie will also feature Vedang Raina who made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s 2023 movie ‘The Archies’.
‘Jigra’ is being produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. Apart from ‘Jigra’, Alia Bhatt will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The film will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
