Watch: Fan Touches Akshay Kumar's Feet, Pleads For His Help At BMC Polls
Akshay Kumar is winning hearts after he stopped to help a distressed fan after casting his vote for the BMC elections.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections saw a massive turnout from Bollywood’s elite early Thursday morning. Among the first to exercise their democratic right were Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Hema Malini, Suniel Shetty, and Sanya Malhotra, all spotted at various polling booths across the city as voting commenced for 29 civic bodies across Maharashtra. As one of the early birds at the polling station, Akshay Kumar took a moment to speak with the media after casting his vote.
Emphasising the importance of the day, he stated: “This is the day that the remote control lands in our hands. I appeal to all Mumbaikars to vote.”
While the atmosphere was focused on the elections, a personal moment involving Akshay and a female fan has since gone viral. As the actor was walking back to his car, a girl approached him visibly distressed, holding a piece of paper.
The fan shared a plea for financial assistance, saying, “Papa bahut bade karze mein hai, unko please bahar nikalo.”
Instead of dismissing the request, Akshay Kumar paused to listen to her story. Showing his trademark compassion, he instructed his team to collect her contact details so they could look into the matter. Overwhelmed by the gesture, the fan attempted to touch the actor’s feet in gratitude, but Akshay stopped her, saying, “Beta aisa mat karo.”
