Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy 'Welcome to the Jungle'. Ahead of the film's release later this week, the makers held an event in Mumbai, which was attended by many stars. During one stage, there was a friendly back-and-forth between Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff. However, the internet is now coming up with all sorts of theories, saying Jackie wasn't pleased with how Akshay referred to him as a "senior."

It all started with Akshay welcoming both Jackie and Paresh Rawal to the stage. It's unlikely that there was more to it than met the eye, as the trio were seen laughing and giggling around.

"Senior actor hai. Actually, Dada aap senior nahi ho, Paresh bhai senior hai aapse," said Akshay as he welcomed Jackie to the stage. He followed it up by asking Paresh Rawal on stage by saying, "30th May 1955 main paida huye insaan, Paresh bhai uppar aaiye."

"Aur dada (Jackie), aap paida huye the 1st February 1957 ko, do saal bad. To aap second senior huye," he added.

Hearing this, Jackie was quick to answer back, and he responded by saying, "Beard teri (Akshay) safed lag rahi hai bhai (laughs)."

Khiladi Kumar then joked back, saying all three senior actors have reached a stage where they need to colour their beards. "Aap khali karwake nahi aate kya? Abhi dada mujhe bolna nahi, poori pol khol dunga."

Speaking about 'Welcome to the Jungle’, the ambitious comedy entertainer serves as the third instalment in the popular 'Welcome' franchise. Directed by Ahmed Khan and headlined by Akshay Kumar, the film brings together a massive ensemble cast featuring Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and several other popular performers.

The film is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026. Ahead of the full-fledged release, the makers are also holding paid previews for the project, beginning Thursday, June 25 at 7:30 PM IST. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has so far sold 14,046 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 24.25 lakh.

Set against a jungle backdrop, the movie promises a blend of slapstick comedy, action, adventure, and the trademark chaos that made the Welcome series a fan favourite. Fans are particularly excited to see several comedy veterans reunite on screen, while the return of the 'Welcome' brand adds a strong dose of nostalgia.
