Watch: Aamir Khan Plays ‘Dadu’ To Darsheel Safary In New Ad As They Reunite After ‘Taare Zameen Par’
Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary, who starred together in the hit Hindi movie ‘Taare Zameen Par, reunited for an energy drink ad.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for his versatility, has earned the title ‘Mr Perfectionist’ after delivering several blockbuster hits. Over the years, Aamir Khan has given us many memorable movies, including ‘Lagaan’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Rang De Basanti ‘Dangal’, and more. As we mention his iconic movies, how can we forget Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’? The 2007 Hindi movie, co-starring Darsheel Safary and Tisca Chopra, made us laugh and cry with its beautiful storytelling, relatable plot, heart-touching performances, and soulful music.
It is safe to say that we have all rooted for a Darsheel Safary-Aamir Khan reunion. And it has finally happened after 17 years! The duo appeared together in a new ad for an energy drink. Aamir Khan played Darsheel Safary’s grandfather as he took him on an ‘adventure through time’ in the recently-released ad.

The ad began with Darsheel Safary sharing his life’s problems with his “dadu” Aamir Khan who offered him a beverage.
With each sip of the drink, Darsheel Safary travelled to a different timeline and saw Aamir in different avatars. Aamir Khan’s looks in these avatars were previously shared by Darsheel Safary on his Instagram account as he teased their reunion.
Soon after the ad was shared on Instagram, several social media users reacted to it. One user wrote, “Bhai jabardast ad hai.”
Another one added, “Cute hai.”
A third one commented, “Aamir's ads are always like a short film for me, and you, @dsafary, great to see both of you together after all these yrs.”
“Ad mein hi film ka perfection hai,” another comment on the post read.
When Darsheel Safary shared the first look of the project with Aamir Khan, many believed that this was their first look from the upcoming film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’.
During the recent promotions of his production, ‘Laapataa Ladies’, Aamir Khan had shared that his next film would be titled ‘Sitare Zameen Par’.
Aamir Khan was last seen alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan in the 2022 Bollywood movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which tanked at the box office. However, the movie generated some positive response after it started streaming on Netflix.
A few months after the film’s failure, Aamir Khan went on a sabbatical from the movies.
For the unversed, Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary shared screen space in ‘Taare Zameen Par’, which saw the former play a mentor and the latter play his student with dyslexia.
Aamir Khan recently also reunited with Tisca Chopra, who played Darsheel Safary’s mother in the film, at his daughter Ira Khan’s wedding.
Darsheel Safary later went on star in films like ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’, ‘Zokkomon’ and ‘Midnight's Children’.
