Aamir Khan has spoken about his separation from Kiran Rao, revealing that he asked the latter for her feedback after the couple parted ways.
Everyone was left surprised when Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao decided to announce their separation in 2021. However, what's endearing about the duo is that they continue to be close friends, and co-parent their 13-year-old son Azad. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are currently busy promoting the latter's directorial venture 'Laapataa Ladies', which will be releasing in cinemas on March 1. In the latest entertainment news, Aamir Khan has opened up about his separation from Kiran, revealing that he asked Kiran for her feedback after the couple parted ways.
“Ek mazedaar cheez hai. Hum log ka divorce abhi hua hai aap log ko pata hi hoga. Ek din shaam ko main baitha hua tha, maine bola Kiran, kya lagta hai as a husband mujhme kya kya kami thi? What can I improve abhi aage chal raha hu life mein,” said Aamir Khan while speaking at ABP Network’s Ideas of India Summit.
Aamir Khan then revealed how Kiran Rao reacted to his question. The '3 Idiots' actor joked that the latter had a lot of complaints.
“She said, ‘Haan likho,’ Bakayda mujhe points likhwae gaye. ‘Aap bahut baat karte hain, aap kisiko baat nahi karne dete, apne hi point pe ghuse rehte hain.’ Kuch 15-20 points maine likhe hue hain," said Aamir Khan.

For the unversed, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had tied the knot in 2005 after meeting each other on the sets of 'Lagaan'.
The duo welcomed Azad in 2011. However, the couple announced their separation in July 2021.
Speaking of 'Laapataa Ladies', the film has been produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran's Kindling Productions.
Kiran Rao is directing a film after a gap of 14 years.
On the work front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. The movie is expected to release in cinemas on Christmas 2024.
“I have started shooting for my new film, Sitaare Zameen Par from February 1. It is the next level of Taare Zameen Par, it is like part 2. It is not the same story and the characters are also not the same," Aamir Khan had said earlier about his upcoming project.
