Here is a closer look at all the major records the film has already broken:

1. Highest Paid Preview Collections Ever For An Indian Film

Even before the main release, 'Dhurandhar 2' made history by collecting Rs 43 crore from paid previews, the highest ever for an Indian film. As per reports, this beat the earlier record held by 'They Call Him OG', proving the film’s event status before day one had even properly begun.

2. Biggest Hindi Opening Day Of All Time

The film opened at Rs 102.55 crore net in India, with the Hindi version contributing Rs 99.10 crore. That made it the biggest Hindi opening day ever, going past Pushpa 2: The Rule’s Rs 70.30 crore Hindi opening.

3. First Hindi Film Ever To Cross Rs 100 Crore Net In Single Day

This is one of the cleanest milestones in the film’s run. 'Dhurandhar 2' became the first Hindi movie in history to post a single-day net collection of over Rs 100 crore, taking Bollywood into a box office zone it had not touched before.

4. First Hindi Film To Cross Rs 100 Crore Net In Single Day Twice

The film did not stop at one historic day. Sacnilk noted that 'Dhurandhar 2' became the first Hindi film to score Rs 100 crore-plus net in a single day twice, underlining how sustained its momentum has been.

5. Highest Single-Day Collection In Single Indian Language

Sacnilk credited the film with delivering the biggest single-day collection in a single Indian language at around Rs 107 crore net, overtaking RRR’s previous benchmark. That gives 'Dhurandhar 2' one of the biggest pure-language records in Indian box office history.

6. Biggest Extended Opening Weekend Worldwide For Bollywood Film

Its four-day launch was record-breaking on the global stage too. Sacnilk listed 'Dhurandhar 2' as the Bollywood film with the biggest extended opening weekend worldwide.

7. Biggest Friday-To-Sunday Opening Weekend Worldwide For Bollywood Film

Strip away the preview padding and the film still remains on top. As per reports, Friday-to-Sunday worldwide weekend gross crossed Rs 515 crore, the biggest such weekend ever for a Bollywood title.

8. Biggest Extended Opening Weekend In India For Bollywood Film

Domestically too, the film rewrote the opening-weekend playbook. The spy thriller had the biggest extended opening weekend at the Indian box office for a Bollywood release.

9. Biggest Friday-To-Sunday Opening Weekend In India For Bollywood Film

The regular three-day weekend was no less historic. Sacnilk pegged the film’s Friday-to-Sunday domestic gross at Rs 370 crore, another all-time Bollywood best.

10. Biggest Four-Day Overseas Opening For An Indian Film

One of the sequel’s biggest flexes has been its overseas game. The Aditya Dhar directorial delivered the biggest extended four-day opening weekend for any Indian film overseas, with gross collections of more than Rs 190 crore.

11. Biggest Overseas Opening Weekend Without Gulf Markets

The overseas numbers become even more striking when one remembers that the Gulf was not driving the record. Sacnilk listed ‘Dhurandhar 2’ as the film with the biggest opening weekend overseas even without Gulf-market support.

12. Biggest Overseas Opening Day For Bollywood Film, Including Previews

Internationally, the film started breaking records from day one itself. As per Sacnilk, the Ranveer Singh-starrer had delivered the biggest overseas opening day for a Bollywood movie when previews are included.

13. Biggest Extended Opening Weekend For An Indian Film In North America

North America turned out to be another major win. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ put up roughly USD 14 million in its extended opening weekend there, the biggest ever for an Indian film in that market.

14. Biggest Friday-To-Sunday North America Weekend For A Bollywood Film

The standard three-day North America weekend was historic too. Sacnilk placed the film’s Friday-to-Sunday haul there at about USD 9.6 million, another Bollywood record.

15. First Film To Earn Rs 75 Crore-Plus Net For 4 Consecutive Days In Single Language

Another rare consistency milestone came in the Hindi belt. Reportedly, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is the first film ever to score Rs 75 crore-plus net in a single language across four back-to-back days.

16. Fastest Indian Film To Cross Rs 500 Crore

The 2026 Hindi movie crossed Rs 500 crore by Monday itself, making it the fastest Indian movie to reach that landmark. That puts it in a tiny group of Indian blockbusters that have turned box office milestones into sprinting targets.

17. Highest-Grossing Indian Film Of 2026 Within Just Four Days

As per Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ had already become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2026 across domestic, overseas, and worldwide markets, within just four days.

That is a phenomenal pace for any release, let alone one still in its first weekend phase.

18. Second-Biggest Opening Day Worldwide For An Indian Film

Indian Express reported that the film earned Rs 236.63 crore worldwide on opening day, ranking it second among the biggest opening days for Indian films. It went past RRR’s Rs 223 crore and trailed only Pushpa 2’s Rs 275.2 crore.

19. Fourth-Highest Day One India Net Among All Indian Films

While it owns the Hindi opening-day crown, the film also entered the all-India record books overall. Indian Express noted that its Rs 102.55 crore India net opening is the fourth-highest day one for any Indian film, behind ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘RRR’, and ‘KGF 2’.

20. 'Dhurandhar' Series Is Now India’s Third-Highest-Grossing Film Franchise

Perhaps the biggest franchise-level achievement is what the sequel has done for the brand as a whole. Times of India reported that the combined haul of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has pushed the series past ‘Pushpa’, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film franchise.

The film is now on its way to dethrone SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' franchise, starring Prabhas, with its total of Rs 2,462 crore, across three film releases - 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015), 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' (2017) and the 10th anniversary special, 'Baahubali: The Epic'. In the first spot is the YRF spy universe, comprising of a total of six films thus far.

P.S.: In a unique theatrical phenomenon, the original ‘Dhurandhar’ (Part 1) continued to run in theatres and was even expanded to over 1,000 screens right up until the launch of ‘Dhurandhar 2’. This marks the first time in Indian cinema history that a preceding film has remained active in the box office cycle until its direct sequel took over the screens.

In just a matter of days, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has turned into far more than a blockbuster — it has become a full-blown box office phenomenon. With record-breaking previews, historic Hindi collections, massive overseas numbers, and franchise-defining success, Ranveer Singh’s actioner has already carved out a place in the history books. Whether it ultimately goes on to break even bigger milestones or not, one thing is clear: ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is not merely enjoying a dream run; it is setting a new benchmark for how high a Hindi film can fly.

‘Dhurandhar 2’, also starring R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun, continues its remarkable run at the box office.
