“Sunny Days Are Back”: Shahid Kapoor Shares BTS Pics From ‘Farzi 2' Shoot With Vijay Sethupathi

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has officially began shooting for the much-awaited second season of the hit crime thriller series ‘Farzi’. The actor, who was recently seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘O Romeo’, shared exciting behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets, giving fans a sneak peek into the making of ‘Farzi 2’. The makers had confirmed the second season last month as the popular series completed three years since its release. Shortly after the announcement, Shahid revealed that he had begun filming by sharing BTS photos from the set.

Now, the actor has offered fans another look at the shoot, including a fun selfie with his co-star Vijay Sethupathi, who played Special Task Force officer Michael Vedanayagam in the first season.
On Sunday, Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram Stories to post a cheerful selfie with Vijay Sethupathi from the sets of ‘Farzi 2’. In the picture, both actors were seen smiling widely for the camera while sporting thick-framed black glasses. Sharing the moment with fans, Shahid captioned the photo, “Spexy men at work!”
Apart from the selfie, Shahid also posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the ongoing shoot on his Instagram account. One image showed the actor sitting on a chair with a car parked in the background, while another captured him alongside Bhuvan Arora and filmmaker DK, all seemingly focused on something off-camera. A third photo featured the director giving instructions to Shahid and the rest of the team on set. Sharing the photos, Shahid wrote, “Sunny days are back!! Farzi ing away!!”
‘Farzi’, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February 2023, received widespread praise for its gripping narrative and strong performances. The series featured a stellar cast including Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora and Kavya Thapar in key roles.

The action-packed crime thriller follows Shahid Kapoor’s character Sunny, a clever con artist who turns to printing counterfeit currency in a bid to become rich. However, his plans face a major challenge when a relentless task force officer, played by Vijay Sethupathi, begins pursuing him.
The show also marked an important milestone in Shahid Kapoor’s career as it was his OTT debut series. Additionally, ‘Farzi’ brought together Shahid and the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj and DK for the first time, a collaboration that was widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike.
