There is nothing that music cannot do. Some songs even serve as the need of the hour for the greatest of champions, and Virat Kohli is no different. The former India captain is known for his love for Punjabi music, and recently, the legendary cricketer revealed that he has one go-to song before going out to play. At the recent One8 global premiere, Virat spoke about the one song by musician Karan Aujla that is his favourite.

During the event, where Karan Aujla also gave a power-packed performance, Virat Kohli revealed that he highly relates to the singer's uber-popular track 'Winning Speech'.

"You write songs from the heart. The one I resonate with most is 'Winning Speech' because it probably captures the journey you've gone through. I can see similarities with my own journey as well. I lost my dad when I was pretty young too, so that song is quite special for me. I've often listened to it before going out to play matches," Virat Kohli said at the event.

The same event in Delhi also saw Virat Kohli speak about his winning mindset and his mission to never go down without a fight. He said he doesn't believe in the word "impossible." He then spoke about one of his most famous knocks, the unbeaten match-winning knock against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

"I'm made this way. I almost crave situations when people feel like it's gone and then somehow you can manage to pull the game back. That's just how I look at the situations from a very young age. And I've never stopped believing, right till the very end, that the game is lost or we can't win. And some magical things have happened," said Virat Kohli.

"One incident for me that will always stand out is that game against Pakistan in Melbourne. I was told later, chances of winning the game was like 3 per cent or something. But I never thought like that. Even 1% is enough. If there is a chance, there is a chance. So, you're never really done until you lose the game," he added.

On Sunday, Virat Kohli launched his One8 footwear line in New Delhi. At one point in the event, the cricketer was asked by host Danish Sait about the pricing of the new "Red Shoe" – Rs 9230 – and how it matched the exact number of runs he scored in Test cricket.

Virat Kohli was then asked whether he would return to Test cricket just to make sure the shoe's price goes up. To this, the right-handed batter said, "Na na, I would rather undersell... I'm done with it (Test cricket)." For the unversed, Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket last year in May. He now just plays ODI cricket for Team India.
