Siddharth Anand Reacts To Clip Of Girl Mocking School Friend Working As Delivery Person
Siddharth Anand called a delivery executive “real hero” after a viral video showed him being mocked by a former school friend, sparking a powerful conversation on dignity of labour.
Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has reacted strongly to a viral video in which a woman is seen mocking her former school friend, who now works as a delivery executive. The clip, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Saffron Chargers, has sparked widespread outrage and discussion around dignity of labour and empathy. In the video, which was recorded by the woman herself, she is seen meeting her school-time friend on the road and laughing as she recalls how he used to motivate their classmates to study during school days.
She then mockingly points out that at the age of 30, he is working as a delivery person. The man, seated on a scooter, continues to smile throughout the interaction but appears visibly uncomfortable. Despite this, the woman goes on to ask him sarcastically whether he feels good working as a delivery executive, while he keeps laughing awkwardly.
The clip ends with the woman saying that she would forward the video to all their school friends. It was shared online with the caption, “A pizza delivery boy met his school-time female friend on the road… She started recording and mocked him: ‘You used to motivate everyone in school… and now you’re delivering pizza?’ Then she said she’ll send the video to other friends too.”

Reacting to the clip, Siddharth Anand shared a powerful message in support of the delivery executive. “He’s a hero! Whoever you are. You’re a real hero!! You’re working hard! You’re working honestly. Earning for yourself. Not being a burden on anyone. No work is less. Or more. True hero. You have my respect,” the filmmaker wrote.
