Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani To Join Cast Of Yash’s ‘Toxic’: Reports
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani will reportedly join the cast of ‘Toxic’, starring ‘KGF’ fame Yash.
Kannada actor Yash gained widespread recognition for his role as Rocky after the massive success of Prashanth Neel’s directorial ventures ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Yash back on the silver screen. His next movie, ‘Toxic’, was announced in December 2023 with an exciting and intriguing video. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ has been making headlines for some time now but the casting of the upcoming film was not fully disclosed. As per a new report by Pinkvilla, ‘Toxic’ is set to have three leading ladies and two of them have been finalised.
An insider told Pinkvilla that Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani have been roped in for the film. The makers of the film will make an official announcement about the same soon.
For the unversed, Kiara Advani and Kareena Kapoor Khan have previously starred together in the 2019 Hindi movie ‘Good Newwz’.
The insider also revealed that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be playing Yash’s sister in the film. If Kareena Kapoor Khan becomes a part of the movie, it will mark her debut in the South Indian film industry.
Reportedly, Kiara Advani might be playing the role of Yash's love interest. If reports are to be believed then, ‘Toxic’ will be a brother-sister story.
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently confirmed her big South debut in a fan interaction and said, “Now, like I said, I might be doing a very big South film. Now it’s like, all pan-India so I don’t know where I’ll be shooting, but I’m excited for all my fans to know that it’s going to be the first time that I will be doing this.”
In one of the ‘Koffee With Karan’ episodes, Kareena Kapoor also shared that she would love to work with Yash.
When Karan Johar asked, “Which south actor would you like to be paired up with? Prabhas, Ram Charan, Vijay Deverakonda, Allu Arjun, and Yash,” the actress expressed her desire to collaborate with Yash, declaring herself a “KGF girl”.
The film will hit the big screens on April 10, 2025. It will reportedly also feature Sai Pallavi and is likely to go on the floors soon. Furthermore, there have been several rumours of Shruti Haasan playing a part in the film.
‘Toxic’ is said to be focused on the drug cartels which operate from the coastal areas of Goa. The film is being produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
