Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani-starrer 'Kanguva' is one of the most-awaited pan-Indian films of 2024. In the latest entertainment news, Tamil superstar Suriya has now finally revealed the release date of the film. Suriya has confirmed that the Siva-directorial will be releasing in cinemas on October 10, 2024. As a result, 'Kanguva' will now be going up against Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' at the box office. Suriya shared a poster of his character from 'Kanguva'. In the poster, Suriya can be seen dressed as a warrior, and he is also carrying a sword.

"In cinemas…10-10-2024 worldwide," the caption read on the poster.

Taking to social media, Suriya wrote, "Dear all…It’s 10th October 2024."

Coming back to 'Kanguva', the film stars Suriya in a double role and Bobby Deol is playing the role of main antagonist named Udhiran. The teaser for Kanguva was unveiled earlier this year and it showcased high-octane action sequences, including battle scenes.

The film will mark the Tamil debut of Disha Patani. The epic action-thriller also stars Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar, and BS Avinash in pivotal characters.

'Kanguva' will be having a worldwide theatrical release in 3D and IMAX formats.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' is slated to be released in cinemas on October 11, 2024. 'Jigra' directed by Vasan Bala, is a co-production of Alia's Eternal Sunshine Production and Karan Johar's Dharmas. The upcoming Hindi movie also stars Vedang Raina.

Earlier, 'Jigra' was supposed to be released in cinemas in September 2024.

‘Jigra’ marks the first collaboration between Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’, which premiered on Netflix last year.

The upcoming Hindi movie is being directed by Vasan Bala, who has earlier helmed projects like 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota', and 'Monica, O My Darling'. Both these movies received critical acclaim.
