Indian actress Pooja Hegde has officially entered her European summer era, and she is not being subtle about it. Pooja, known for her infectious screen presence, has dropped a stunning carousel from her Hungary holiday, captioning it with a pun that did most of the heavy lifting: “Put the pest in Budapest,” followed by two grinning emojis. For the unversed, the Hungarian capital is a merger of Buda and Pest, the two halves that sit on either side of the Danube – which makes the wordplay a lot smarter than the average vacation caption.

Within a few hours of going up, the post had crossed 263,000 likes, with Tamannaah Bhatia among the names topping the like list.

The dump opened with a selfie of Pooja Hegde in a yellow top, flashing her a sweet smile. The second frame featured the Indian actress mid-laugh in an oversized blush pink tee printed with citrus slices and the words “Golden Hour,” caught in a single blade of low evening light against a pitch-dark backdrop. It is the kind of accidental-looking shot that photographers spend years trying to engineer.

From there she alternated between people and place, which is what separated a good photo dump from a camera roll. There was an archway framing a cobblestoned palace courtyard, all Corinthian columns and a bronze hunting-scene fountain, with a family wandering through the far end. There was a low-angle facade study of a cream-and-terracotta brick building, complete with cherub stucco work and a wrought-iron balcony, with a "Kávéház" sign – Hungarian for coffee house – visible at street level. There was a narrow lane roofed entirely by a canopy of rainbow umbrellas strung on wires against a blue sky.
The standout set, though, came from a pub where every inch of wall and ceiling was papered with handwritten notes from visitors and the floor was covered in loose straw. A tabletop sign identified it as the For Sale Pub. Pooja posed there in a butter-yellow ribbed mini dress with white V-trim, matching butter-yellow oval sunglasses, brown-and-white Mary Janes and a rainbow crochet bag – then followed it up with a pouting selfie from the same table, hair tousled, bowl of food in frame.
She also folded in the quieter stuff. A black-and-white mirror selfie in a white lace strapless dress, holding a compact rangefinder camera, a small heart pendant at her collarbone. A bare-faced bed selfie on white linen, stacked gold rings, zero makeup. A moody black-and-white reflection shot through cafe glass where only her silhouette and raised camera were legible against chevron-patterned banquettes.
Two frames carried the same pink-and-red striped collared knit: one a wind-blown selfie with her hair thrown clean across her face, the other a low-angle shot taken through a bouquet of tulips and lisianthus, hands forming a heart against the sky. A silhouette on a hillside bench overlooking a wide stretch of water, hands behind her head, did the closing emotional work – followed by a final postcard of Matthias Church, its diamond-patterned tiled roof catching the light, a yellow taxi sweeping past the frame.
It was a well-built dump: architecture, outfits, food, selfies, and a caption people actually want to repeat. The comments section, predictably, was a wall of hearts.
