Malayalam film 'Manjummel Boys' has achieved a remarkable milestone.

'Manjummel Boys', a survival thriller based on a real-life story, is continuing its remarkable run at the worldwide box office. In the latest entertainment news, 'Manjummel Boys' has become the first Malayalam film to enter the Rs 200 crore club at the worldwide box office. This achievement can be taken as a huge milestone for the Malayalam film industry. Malayalam movies are having a phenomenal run in 2024 as the industry has already given three box office juggernauts in the form of 'Manjummel Boys, 'Premalu', and 'Bramayugam'.

Earlier, 'Manjummel Boys' had beaten Tovino Thomas' '2018' to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film in India. As of now, 'Manjummel Boys' has made Rs 110.9 crore in India, as per Sacnilk. 

In Hindi, '3 Idiots' was the first film to enter the Rs 200 crore club while 'Baahubali: The Beginning' was the first Telugu film to do so.

Talking about Kannada movies, 'KGF: Chapter 1' was the first film to achieve this feat, while in Tamil, 'Enthiran' was the first film to do so.

For the unversed, 'Manjummel Boys' is a survival drama, and the plot revolves around the struggle of a bunch of friends from a small town. The friends toil hard to save one of their own from a cave in Kodaikanal.

'Manjummel Boys' stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar, and Vishnu Reghu in leading roles.  

'Manjummel Boys' is based on a real-life incident that happened in 2006.
