Ananya Panday got emotional after Amitabh Bachchan praised her performance in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
Bollywood actress Ananya Panday recently appeared on the game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC), hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. She was joined by her co-star Kartik Aaryan to promote their upcoming film ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, which is scheduled for release on December 25. The highlight of the episode was a personal commendation from Amitabh Bachchan regarding Ananya's performance in her previous film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. His praise focused on several specific professional achievements.
Despite the film featuring several “big names” and veteran actors, Amitabh noted that Ananya Panday stood out and handled her role with great skill. He specifically highlighted her ability to communicate through her eyes and expressions, noting that she didn't need many dialogues to be effective.
Amitabh Bachchan praised her ability to make a performance feel spontaneous. He explained that while actors know their lines months in advance, the test of an artist is making the audience believe the events are happening for the first time – a quality he saw in her portrayal.
Big B said, “Aur inke liye bhi humne kaha tha, inki ek film he, Kesari (Chapter 2). Jisme inhone kaam kiya tha humne kaha ki bohot bade bade kalakaar he usme aur sabne bohot achcha kaam kiya. Lekin itne bade kalakaro ke saath rehkar bhi Ananya aapne bohot khubi se apna role nibhaya.”
“Jyada bolna nahi tha inko. Jis tarah se unki nazar gayi, unki look gayi. Kya hota he ki, hum sab ek hi profession mein he. Hum log ko 3 mahine pata chal jaata he ki humara role kya he, humara dialogue kya he lekin jab shooting ho raha he tab humari janta ko ye lagni chahiye ki ye avsar pehli baar hua he humare saath aur pehli baar hum ye bolne jaa rahe he. Wahi par kalaakar ki khoobi pata chalti he. Woh feeling maine aap mein dekhi,” Big B added.
The veteran actor's words moved Ananya to tears. She later shared the footage on Instagram, describing it as the “biggest moment of any actor’s life” and stating that she would cherish his words forever.

For the unversed, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ was released on April 18 and achieved moderate success at the box office, minting Rs 92.73 crore in India and Rs 145 crore worldwide.
It starred Akshay Kumar (as Advocate C. Sankaran Nair) and R. Madhavan (as Advocate Neville McKinley). The film was based on the book ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’ by Raghu and Pushpa Palat.
A sequel to the 2019 film, it followed C. Sankaran Nair’s legal battle against the British to expose the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
