The final trailer for 'House of the Dragon' season 2 is out now.

The final trailer for 'House of the Dragon' season 2 is out now. The clip promises a Targaryen civil war, and we could not be more excited. The trailer shows how the dynasty of House Targaryen is battling a crisis, and there are several contenders for the Iron Throne. For the unversed, the eight-episode second season will be premiering on June 16, 2024. 

The new trailer showcases the conflict between Rhaenyra Targaryen and the king's firstborn son, Aegon. The upcoming season season will set up George RR Martin's novel 'Fire & Blood's storyline known as 'Dance of the Dragons'.

In this storyline, the Targaryen family goes against one another, in order to sit on the Iron Throne.

The trailer highlights several shots of a bloody war which is looming around the corner. 

The first season of 'House of the Dragon' followed Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) in her conquest to be named the chosen heir of King Viserys I (Patty Considine).

The returning cast for the upcoming season includes Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Ewan Mitchell, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Phoebe Campbell, Bethany Antonia, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall and Matthew Needham.

While, the newcomers to the series are -- Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh Hammer, Tom Bennett as Ulf and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. Other newcomers include Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, reported Variety.

In India, the second season of 'House of the Dragon', will be available on JioCinema from Monday, June 17.
