Bollywood’s ultimate power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, have officially expanded their family! The beloved stars became parents for the second time, welcoming a baby girl on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The couple shared their joy through a simple yet heartwarming joint Instagram post. The announcement card featured a sweet imprint of a baby’s footprint, with the text reading: “Welcome Baby Girl! 19|9|2026 Dua. Deepika & Ranveer.”

This new addition joins their firstborn daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, whom they welcomed on September 8, 2024.

The couple first announced their second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, dropping a viral social media post of little Dua holding a positive pregnancy test.
While the protective parents have largely kept Dua out of the public eye – having only revealed her face publicly twice, once during Diwali in traditional attire and more recently in Deepika’s maternity shoot – they recently celebrated her second birthday. On September 8, Ranveer shared unseen monochrome photos from their maternity shoot, including one of him gently embracing Deepika’s baby bump, captioning it: “Baby Dua and our hearts are getting bigger! Thank you for your blessings!”

Leading up to the birth, the couple made several special public appearances. Much like their visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple just two days before Dua’s birth in 2024, the couple recently sought blessings at the same temple alongside Ranveer’s parents. Surrounded by heavy security, the couple smiled and waved at fans. Deepika looked radiant in an orange and purple kurta set, while Ranveer matched the vibe in a purple kurta and white trousers.
Prior to this, Ranveer made a solo visit to the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal dressed in a white chikankari kurta and pyjama. The soon-to-be parents were also recently spotted keeping things relaxed on a low-key South Indian food date in Mumbai.
Ranveer’s excitement about baby number two had already charmed the internet. An April 2026 brand shoot clip recently went viral where a fan playfully flirted with him. Crossing his fingers, Ranveer responded with his trademark humour: “Kitna flirt kar rahi ho. Main do bacche ka baap banne wala hoon yaar.”
For Deepika, motherhood has been a profoundly transformative experience. In an October 2025 interview with CNBC-TV18, she reflected on her journey, stating: “It pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you a social person; I've never been a social person. Having to interact with other parents, and now playschool, motherhood just pushes you out of your comfort zone in a good way.”
Despite her pregnancy, Deepika remained fiercely dedicated to her professional commitments, even amid recent headlines surrounding her advocacy for a structured eight-hour workday. She worked through her third trimester, taking on night shifts and physically demanding action sequences for Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi film ‘Raaka’, starring Allu Arjun.
A crew member praised her phenomenal work ethic, sharing: “She was determined to do everything to complete the film before she takes a maternity break. Some of the action sequences are very demanding, almost gruelling, but despite the challenges, she has been able to accomplish this. It is inspiring for everyone on the sets to see Deepika perform like this. Not to forget, she has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter at home, who she also gets her unwavering attention.”
Deepika will also be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘King’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, Ranveer – who was last seen in ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge – is preparing for the post-apocalyptic thriller ‘Pralay’, currently in production. Reports suggest the actor is expected to take a well-deserved break to focus on his growing family.
Deepika and Ranveer’s romance famously blossomed in 2013 on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, leading to collaborations in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. After getting secretly engaged in 2015, they tied the knot in November 2018 in a grand destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy, featuring both Konkani and Sindhi ceremonies.
Today, almost eight years after saying "I do," their beautiful journey continues as a loving family of four.
