Bollywood’s Queen of Hearts, Deepika Padukone, is making headlines once again, but this time it isn't for a red-carpet appearance or a movie trailer. Instead, a deeply personal and heartwarming video from a recent fan meet-and-greet is going viral, proving why the actress remains one of the most beloved stars in the industry. Deepika, who celebrated her 40th birthday on January 5, hosted an intimate fan session in December to interact with her most dedicated admirers.

Among the attendees was a fan identified as @zadmayur, who took to Instagram on Monday to share a story that has touched thousands of social media users.

Mayur, who was meeting the actress for the fourth time, brought a very special guest along: his mother. He revealed that his mother had gradually become a fan of Deepika while watching his own admiration for the star. However, when he first told her about the meeting, she was sceptical, jokingly saying in Marathi, "Don’t lie! You’ve met her so many times but never took me."

The reality of the meeting far exceeded their expectations. Mayur described how his mother was "completely stunned" when she finally stood face-to-face with the ‘Pathaan’ star. In a video that has now widely circulated, Deepika can be seen warmly holding the mother's hand and inviting her to sit beside her – a gesture that moved the elderly woman to tears.

One of the most touching highlights was the gift Mayur’s mother brought for Deepika: handmade Puran Poli. Mayur shared that his mother was "lost in the moment" when Deepika personally thanked her for the traditional Maharashtrian delicacy. Interestingly, while the event featured a spread of delicious food, Mayur’s mother couldn't participate in the feast as she was observing her Margashish Gurvar fast.

Concluding his post, Mayur thanked the team who organized the event – specifically mentioning Dhiirraj, Fiona D’Souza, and Aashia Ahluwalia – and called it a moment he and his mother would "never forget."

The comment section of the post was immediately flooded with love from the "Deepika-holics" community. Fans were quick to praise the actress for her humility and kindness.

"I’m in tears now, this is so heartwarming," one user wrote.

Another commented, "Kaki is the sweetest! I bet DP must've loved her puranpoli."

A third fan summed up the sentiment perfectly, writing, "Two queens in one frame."

Deepika Padukone has been riding high on a series of professional successes, including the high-octane ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan, the global hit ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas, and the star-studded ‘Singham Again’.

She is currently busy filming Siddharth Anand’s ‘King’, where she will reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in a project that also marks the big-screen debut of Suhana Khan. On the personal front, 2024 was a landmark year for Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh, as they welcomed their daughter, Dua.
