'Tiger 3', which is the latest offering of the YRF Spy Universe, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, made an estimated Rs 42 crore on Tuesday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The nett domestic total of 'Tiger 3' directed by Maneesh Sharma, now stands at Rs 146 crore. For the unversed, the new Hindi film had made over Rs 100 crore across its first two days of release. 'Tiger 3' is Salman Khan's 17th film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India.
'Tiger 3' was released on Sunday (November 12), and it opened to a collection of Rs 44 crore. The film then showed growth on day 2 as it minted Rs 58 crore. However, the collections dropped on Tuesday despite it being a partial holiday across the country.
Globally, 'Tiger 3' has made more than Rs 220 crore, and as of now, the movie is on track to overtake 'Ek Tha Tiger's global gross of Rs 330 crore. 'Tiger Zinda Hai', had made Rs 565 crore globally.
On day 3 of its release, 'Tiger 3' recorded 33 per cent occupancy in the Hindi language. It looks likely that 'Tiger 3' will manage to cross Rs 1,000 crore globally.
For the unversed, Salman Khan is yet to deliver a Rs 1,000 crore grosser in his career. His biggest global hit so far is 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', which had made over Rs 900 crore.
Talking about Salman Khan, the actor visited a theatre to celebrate the release of 'Tiger 3' with a bunch of kids on the occasion of Children's Day. Salman Khan was seen shaking hands with the kids, and he even hugged them.

Speaking of ‘Tiger 3’, the new Hindi film was released in theatres on Sunday (November 12), and the Maneesh Sharma directorial opened to mixed reviews. Some of the critics have described it as the weakest film in the YRF Spy Universe.
However, looking at the audience response, it looks like, ‘Tiger 3’ has struck a chord with the masses. The single screens are performing better than multiplexes, just like in the case of ‘Gadar 2’.
‘Tiger 3’ also features cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. The latter appears in the post-credits scene, setting up the events in motion for ‘War 2’, in which he will be sharing the screen with Jr NTR.
For the unversed, 'War 2' is currently in production under the direction of Ayan Mukerji. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are also slated to star in 'Tiger vs Pathaan' and the new Hindi film is said to be directed by Siddharth Anand.
