Here’s how much Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Tiger 3’ made on Day 2.

After a blockbuster start, ‘Tiger 3’, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, exploded at the box office on the second day of its release. The new Hindi movie, directed by Maneesh Sharma, registered a significant growth on its second day, and the film has become the newest entrant in the Rs 100 crore club. ‘Tiger 3’, which released in theatres on Diwali 2023 (November 12), has taken just two days to achieve this massive feat.

After collecting Rs 44.50 crore on the opening day of its release, ‘Tiger 3’ on Monday minted Rs 57.52 crore across all languages, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The two-day total of ‘Tiger 3’ now stands at Rs 102.02 crore.

‘Tiger 3’ has now become the fastest Salman Khan film to go past the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office. ‘Tiger 3’ has also joined Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ when it comes to being the fastest to enter the Rs 100 crore club. Both these SRK films had also taken two days to achieve the same feat.

‘Tiger 3’ is Salman Khan’s 17th film to enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office, and this is the highest for any actor in the history of Indian cinema. What makes the feat all the more historic is that it has been a  consecutive streak for the actor as all Salman Khan-led films since ‘Dabangg’ (2010) have hit a century in India.

Talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ which had released in theatres on September 7, 2023, the movie had collected Rs 53.23 crore across all languages on the second day of its release. The Hindi version contributed Rs 46.23 crore, while the Telugu and Tamil versions contributed Rs 7 crore.

When one looks at SRK’s ‘Pathaan’, the collection on second day was Rs 70.50 crore. The Hindi version added Rs 68 crore, while the Tamil and Telugu versions contributed Rs 2.50 crore. For the unversed, the second day of the film’s release fell on January 26 (Republic Day), which is a public holiday in India.

Speaking of ‘Tiger 3’, the new Hindi film was released in theatres on Sunday (November 12), and the Maneesh Sharma directorial opened to mixed reviews. Some of the critics have described it as the weakest film in the YRF Spy Universe.

However, looking at the audience response, it looks like, ‘Tiger 3’ has struck a chord with the masses. The single screens are performing better than multiplexes, just like in the case of ‘Gadar 2’.

‘Tiger 3’ also features cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. The latter appears in the post-credits scene, setting up the events in motion for ‘War 2’, in which he will be sharing the screen with Jr NTR.
