Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil’s new pan-India film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is on a money making spree at the box office. The film, directed by Sukumar, released in cinemas on December 5. And the movie’s release was nothing less than a festival in India. It is safe to say that the movie will breach the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide by the end of this week. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ raked in Rs 141.50 crore on Sunday, the fourth day of its release, across all languages.

The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at a whopping Rs 529.45 crore. The Hindi version has contributed more than Rs 280 crore, while the Telugu version is nearing the Rs 200 crore mark.

Production house Mythri Movie Makers had earlier announced that the film had grossed Rs 621 crore worldwide in three days. Apart from Telugu, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ released in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.

The opening day collection of the movie was a staggering Rs 175.10 crore nett and the film then followed it up with Rs 93.8 crore net on the second day (a working Friday).

The film regained some lost ground on the third day (Saturday), by adding Rs 119.25 crore to its collection.

On Sunday, ‘Pushpa 2’ had an overall 73.50 per cent Telugu occupancy. In the Hindi language, the second installment of the ‘Pushpa’ franchise had an overall 84.25 per cent occupancy.

The first four days of ‘Pushpa 2’ have made the film stand out as the clear leader on the all-time rankings when it comes to Hindi collection. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is at the second spot with Rs 286.16 crore, while Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal' collected Rs Rs 241.43 crore in the first four days.

In terms of worldwide collection, the highest-grossing Indian film of all time is Aamir Khan's 'Dangal', as it minted over Rs 2500 crore after its China release. The second spot is held by Prabhas and Rana Daggubati's 'Baahubali 2', which collected Rs 1788 crore during its run. It remains to be seen if ‘Pushpa 2’ manages to beat these films.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 blockbuster film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil have reprised their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.

Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings have bankrolled the film. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the film’s music.
