Hilarious! Kochi Theatre Screens 2nd Half Of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ Without Showing First
In a hilarious incident, the Cinepolis Centre Square Mall theatre in Kochi played the second half of ‘Pushpa 2’ without showing the first half.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ craze has taken over the entire nation and fans cannot stop raving about the Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil-starrer. The Sukumar directorial has already gone past the Rs 500 crore mark in India in just four days. The film, which released on December 5, is enjoying a free run in theatres and has taken up all the screens. In a hilarious comedy of errors, the Cinepolis Centre Square Mall theatre in Kochi played the second half of ‘Pushpa 2’ without showing the 1-hour-40-minutes long first-half.
As per The Indian Express, the audience members first gave the theatre management some benefit of doubt before they realised that the first half of the film was not even played.
The report stated that the 6:30 PM show of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on Friday witnessed the audience being sad to see the end credits rolling during the "interval" point of the film.
Minutes later, fans managed to realise that they were shown the second half of the film instead of the first half. The fans inside the theatre then asked for a refund, while others requested for the film's first half to be screened.
“In a period of non-linear narrative films, a first-time viewer won’t be able to decipher whether the Pushpa 2 scenes are in the right order or not despite sitting through the movie till the intermission part,” an audience member told The Indian Express.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ minted Rs 141.50 crore across all languages on Sunday, the fourth day of its release. As per Sacnilk, ‘Pushpa 2’ earned Rs 85 crore on Sunday in just the Hindi language. As a result, the film has now registered the biggest single day ever in the Hindi language, beating the previous record of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.
The total nett domestic collection of ‘Pushpa 2’ stands at a whopping Rs 529.45 crore. The Hindi version has contributed Rs 285.70 crore, while the Telugu version has earned Rs 198.55 crore.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 blockbuster film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil have reprised their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings have bankrolled the film. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the film’s music.
