Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Devara: Part 1' performed exceptionally well on October 2, which was a national holiday on account of Gandhi Jayanti. 'Devara' recorded an excellent jump on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release, and the Koratala Siva directorial has now gone past the Rs 200 crore mark in India. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Devara' earned Rs 20.50 crore on Wednesday, scripting an impressive 40 per cent jump in collections from Tuesday.

The Telugu version earned Rs 13 crore, while the Hindi version minted Rs 6.25 crore on Wednesday. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 207.85 crore.

As per the makers, the worldwide gross is now nearing the Rs 400 crore mark, and it remains to be seen whether the film manages to breach the Rs 500 crore mark barrier.

The film is expected to be in a comfortable position this week, with no major releases lined up.

Superstar Rajinikanth's actioner 'Vettaiyan' will hit the screens next week. Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' and Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' is slated to release in cinemas on October 11, 2024.

Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga's 'Joker: Folie a Deux', directed by Todd Phillips, released in India on October 2. On the opening day of its release, the film earned Rs 5 crore.

However, the new Hollywood film has opened to negative reviews. And hence, it can be assumed that it will bring no challenge to 'Devara'.

Coming back to 'Devara', the pan-India film marks the Telugu film debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. It is also Jr NTR's first film after the blockbuster success of 'RRR', co-starring Ram Charan and directed by SS Rajamouli.

The Telugu movie also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Srikanth, Narine and Murali Sharma.

The magnum opus is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR will next be seen in 'War 2', alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The next chapter in the YRF Spy Universe is being directed by Ayan Mukerji, and it is slated to release in cinemas on Independence Day 2025.
