‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has gone past ‘Maidaan’ in terms of advance booking for Day 1.

Eid 2024 is nearly upon us, and movie buffs are now looking forward to the release of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and Ajay Devgn and Priyamani's 'Maidaan'. Both the films are slated to have a full-fledged release on Thursday, April 11. And it remains to be seen how both the new Hindi movies will perform on the opening day of its release. The advance booking is already underway, and as of now, 'BMCM' is performing slightly better than Boney Kapoor-backed 'Maidaan'.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' has so far sold 45,382 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 1.15 crore.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' has so far sold 17,113 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 40.04 lakh.

Going by the advance booking trends, it is fair to say that 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' will be recording a better Day 1 as compared to 'Maidaan'. However, the box office collection will also depend on the word-of-mouth both the films receive.

'Maidaan' has already had its media screening, and the reviews started coming in from Tuesday. Ajay Devgn-starrer has received a favourable word-of-mouth so far, and this might help the film in the long run.

Earlier, both 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Maidaan' were slated to release in cinemas on April 10. But due to Eid 2024 falling on April 11, the release plans for both the movies went for a toss.

Reportedly, ‘Maidaan’ has been passed with no cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a run time of 3 hours and 1 minute. As for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, the CBFC had directed the makers to make a few modifications and the film’s run time was also reduced to 2 hours and 44 minutes.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar and Sonakshi Sinha. ‘Maidaan’ is directed by Amit Sharma and it also stars Gajraj Rao in an important role.
