Eid 2024 releases ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan’ have failed to register any significant growth in the second weekend of their releases. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ minted Rs 2.50 crore on Sunday, the 11th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of ‘BMCM’ now stands at Rs 55.55 crore. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ minted Rs 3.25 crore on Sunday, the 11th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi movie now stands at Rs 35.70 crore.

Going by the current trend, it is fair to say that both ‘BMCM’ and ‘Maidaan’ won't be able to recover their budgets. For the unversed, Ali Abbas Zafar's ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, while the budget of ‘Maidaan’ is reportedly Rs 150 crore.

As per several trade experts, both ‘BMCM’ and ‘Maidaan’ will register significant losses. However, both ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan’ were able to brave competition from the new Hindi movies – ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ and ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’.

Vidya Balan, Ileana D'Cruz, Pratik Gandhi and Sendhil Ramamurthy-starrer ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ minted Rs 1.1 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release. The total nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 2.65 crore.

On the other hand, director Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’, starring Tusshar Kapoor, Swastika Mukherjee and Mouni Roy in the lead roles, minted Rs 52 lakh on Sunday, taking the total nett domestic collection to Rs 79 lakh, as per Sacnilk.

On Sunday, ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ registered an overall occupancy rate of just 14.97 per cent in the Hindi market.

‘LSD 2’, on the other hand, recorded an overall occupancy rate of 7.92 per cent.
