Bollywood’s favourite ‘Tom & Jerry’ duo is back at it again! Ahead of the festival of colours, Zaheer Iqbal decided to kick off the Holi celebrations early by pulling a messy, yet hilarious prank on his wife Sonakshi Sinha. The playful moment, captured during the shoot of a new advertisement for Ather’s family scooter, the Rizta, has quickly gone viral, leaving fans in stitches. Taking to Instagram, Sonakshi Sinha shared the funny video, showcasing the prank.

The video begins on the set of their latest commercial collaboration. Zaheer, looking sharp in a white shirt, breaks the fourth wall to whisper his mischievous plan to the camera. He jokingly claims the brand promised him “double” if he pulled off the stunt. Meanwhile, a completely unsuspecting Sonakshi is seen admiring the sleek, white Rizta scooter.

“Jaan, this scooter is so nice, no? I love the colour also,” Sonakshi says, genuinely impressed by the vehicle. As she prepares to rehearse her lines – ironically about how “comfortable and smart” the scooter is – Zaheer hands her a helmet, urging her to put it on quickly for the next shot.

Trusting her husband, the Bollywood actress slides the helmet onto her head. However, the moment it settles, a cloud of vibrant pink and yellow Holi colours erupt from within, completely covering her face and her pristine white chikankari kurta.
As the realization hits, Zaheer doesn't miss a beat. He hops onto the scooter and zooms away, shouting the classic Holi anthem: “Bura na maano, Holi hai!”. A stunned Sonakshi is left standing on set, helmet in hand, before she starts chasing after him, jokingly screaming, “I’m going to kill you, Zaheer.”
The comment section was immediately flooded with love from fans and industry friends. Actress Rashami Desai and model Diana Penty were among the many who reacted with laughing emojis, while fans dubbed them “Couple Goals”. One user jokingly commented, "Someone save Zaheer today”.
“He’s glad the scooter was already switched on, imagine if he got stuck there haha,” another comment read.
The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony on June 23, 2024, has never been shy about sharing their playful banter. Having dated for several years before their marriage, they often credit their strong bond to this very sense of humour and mutual respect.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sonakshi remains busy with major projects. She is set to reprise her role as Anjali Bhaati in ‘Dahaad 2’, with filming reportedly beginning in Rajasthan. She was also recently seen in the supernatural thriller ‘Jatadhara’ and her brother Kussh Sinha's directorial debut ‘Nikita Roy’.
