In the video, Zaheer Iqbal playfully embodied the swagger of Inspector Chulbul Pandey, famously portrayed by Salman Khan. He offered Sonakshi Sinha money while reciting the memorable dialogue, “Pyaar se de rahe hain, rakh lo. Varna thappad maar ke bhi de sakte hain.”

Sonakshi Sinha, who won hearts as the feisty Rajjo in the film, flawlessly slipped back into character, retorting with her classic line that became a nationwide sensation: “Thappad se darr nahi lagta sahab, pyaar se lagta hai.”

The charming re-enactment, filled with laughter and candid moments, showcased the couple's endearing chemistry and quickly garnered attention and appreciation from fans and fellow celebrities.

‘Dabangg’, which marked Sonakshi Sinha’s Bollywood debut, launched her into stardom overnight. The action-comedy, directed by Abhinav Kashyap, was not just a commercial juggernaut but also a cultural phenomenon. It revitalized the masala film genre with its captivating storyline, memorable characters, and a chart-topping soundtrack composed by Sajid-Wajid.

The film followed the exploits of Chulbul "Robin Hood" Pandey, a corrupt but fearless police officer with a unique moral compass. Sonakshi Sinha's portrayal of Rajjo, a headstrong village girl, was widely praised for its authenticity and charm, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Her on-screen chemistry with Salman Khan was a major highlight, and her dialogue became etched in the memory of a generation of moviegoers. The immense success of ‘Dabangg’ led to a successful franchise with subsequent sequels, ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012) and ‘Dabangg 3’ (2019), where Sonakshi Sinha reprised her role.

This celebratory post is more than just a tribute to a film; it's a reflection on a remarkable journey. For Sonakshi Sinha, ‘Dabangg’ was the beginning of a versatile and successful career in Bollywood.

Over the years, Sonakshi Sinha starred in movies like ‘Lootera’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Son Of Sardaar’, ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara’, ‘Action Jackson’, ‘Kalank’, ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ and ‘Mission Mangal’, among others.

She made her OTT debut in 2023 with the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Dahaad’, in which she featured as a cop. The actress returned to OTT in 2024, as she is one of the leading ladies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's big-budget period series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar'.

Sonakshi Sinha was last seen alongside Paresh Rawal and Suhail Nayyar in the 2025 film ‘Nikita Roy’.
