“Disgusting”: Tara Sutaria Reveals Influencers Were Paid To Target Her For Rs 6,000
Tara Sutaria exposed a paid negative PR campaign against her, calling out agencies for circulating defamatory talking points to influencers and meme pages.
In a bold move against industry malpractice, Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria has taken to social media to call out a calculated negative PR campaign designed to defame her. The actress shared evidence of "talking points" allegedly being circulated by agencies to influencers and meme pages to malign her character, career, and current relationship with Veer Pahariya. The controversy gained momentum after an influencer shared a video claiming she was approached by a PR firm to create negative content targeting Tara.
The influencer revealed that she was offered Rs 6,000 to post content urgently based on a specific list of eight talking points, with the promise of payment within an hour of posting.
Tara re-shared this clip, expressing her disgust: “Thank you @tanisha__malara for speaking up and sharing how this is PAID PR and done to malign my reputation. Disgusting that they’ve made a list of derogatory captions and talking points to send to hundreds of content creators and thousands of meme pages. All to ruin my career and relationship??? The joke is STILL on them. See it for yourselves.”
Tara Sutaria didn't stop at the influencer’s video; she posted the actual list of captions being sent to hundreds of creators. The leaked talking points included personal attacks and character assassination, such as:
Labelling her a “gold digger” and claiming she is only with Veer Pahariya for his wealth.
Describing her as “the nightmare of every guy.”
Questioning her character and dragging her past relationship with Aadar Jain (who recently married Tara’s former friend, Alekha Advani).
Tara slammed these tactics, stating that the campaign was a clear attempt to “ruin my career and relationship” by those who are unhappy seeing others succeed.
The smear campaign appeared to have been triggered by Tara’s appearance at AP Dhillon’s concert, where she performed on stage with the singer to their track ‘Thodi Si Daaru’. Viral rumours suggested that her boyfriend, Veer Pahariya, looked "uncomfortable" while watching Tara and AP Dhillon's close interaction on stage (which included a hug and a kiss from the singer). However, Tara and Veer have now debunked this narrative with “real-time” evidence.
Social media personality Orry posted a video showing Veer’s genuine reaction during the Mumbai concert. The footage showed Veer grooving to the music and even asking Orry to film Tara’s performance.
Veer Pahariya had earlier also commented on Tara’s previous post to personally address the trolls, revealing that the "uncomfortable" reaction video being circulated was actually edited. He clarified that the clip of him looking sombre was taken during an entirely different song and was spliced with the performance of ‘Thodi Si Daaru’ to create a false narrative. He dismissed the manipulators as “jokers”.
Despite the barrage of trolling, Tara and Veer maintain a united front. The celebrity couple made their relationship Instagram-official in August 2024 with affectionate posts and have since been open about their partnership, frequently sharing glimpses of their vacations and public appearances together.
