Tamannaah Bhatia embraced spirituality during a soulful visit to the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.
Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently took a well-deserved break from her hectic shooting schedule to embark on a deeply spiritual journey. Taking to her official Instagram handle, the actress shared an enchanting photo dump featuring a series of pictures and videos from her visit to the revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Accompanied by her friends – actor Suved Lohia, producer Pragya Kapoor and Pratyaa Sancheti – Tamannaah captioned the post “Jai Shri Mahakal, Temple run,” perfectly capturing the essence of her sacred getaway.

Tamannaah looked absolutely radiant and deeply devout for the temple visit, dressed in an elegant red Banarasi saree adorned with intricate gold motifs. Adding to her traditional look, she wore a striking blue velvet sash draped around her neck with “Jai Shri Mahakal” beautifully embroidered in gold Hindi lettering.

In one of the most serene shots from the series, Tamannaah, Pragya, and Pratyaa were seen sitting on the temple floor, hands folded in deep prayer, right next to the magnificent silver statue of Nandi, the sacred bull. Another well-captured group photograph showed the entire squad – Suved, Pratyaa, Pragya, and Tamannaah – posing together, radiating a sense of peace and contentment after their successful darshan.
The photo series also gave fans a glimpse into the candid, joyful moments shared among the friends. A sun-kissed selfie taken inside a car showed Tamannaah glowing with a bright orange and gold devotional sash over her shoulders, her forehead adorned with a generous smear of yellow turmeric and sandalwood paste. The strong bond between her and Pragya Kapoor was highlighted in a couple of sweet selfies, including a cheerful snap taken inside an airplane where both women proudly sported the auspicious yellow tilak, signalling their journey back home.
Going beyond just pictures, Tamannaah shared a few highly captivating videos that brought the powerful spiritual energy of the Mahakaleshwar Temple right to her followers’ screens. Two mesmerising video clips featured the elaborate Aarti rituals being performed by the temple priests. One showed a priest performing a grand fire Aarti at the sanctum sanctorum, while the other offered a rare and breathtaking glimpse into the famous Bhasma Aarti, where the sacred Shiva Linga was enveloped in holy ash amidst the echoing chants of mantras. The actress also made sure to include a stunning, close-up photograph of the deity, beautifully decorated with bright colours, floral garlands, and iconic silver embellishments.
Adding a touch of relatable humour to the soulful retreat, the final video in the carousel was a black-and-white clip recorded in the backseat of a car. In it, a visibly exhausted Tamannaah was seen fast asleep, leaning back with her eyes closed, while Pragya Kapoor looked into the camera and jokingly whispers that she is the one who hasn't slept, yet Tamannaah is the one catching some Zs. It was a perfectly candid end to what was clearly a fulfilling, memorable, and spiritually enriching adventure for the group.
