The sheer mention of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan in the same sentence is enough to send Bollywood fans into a frenzy. While fans constantly hope for a monumental project that brings all three superstars together on the big screen, the Khans are known to occasionally enjoy some downtime away from the flashing cameras.

Recently, Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, shed light on these elusive get-togethers and shared some delightful anecdotes about his interactions with Bollywood's biggest giants.
Speaking in a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Junaid opened up about the real off-camera dynamic between the three legendary actors. When asked about how frequently the trio actually meets, Junaid revealed that their gatherings are incredibly rare but highly exclusive.
“I think the three of them will hang out like maybe once a year, once in two years, and have a great time,” he shared. Interestingly, when the three Khans are together, they exist in their own world. Junaid noted that they aren't interested in hanging out with anybody else during these reunions. Despite their towering superstardom, Junaid emphasised their warmth, adding, “They are very, very sweet, both Shah Rukh Khan sir and Salman Khan sir. And they're both very fond of me.”

As a young talent navigating the industry, having the backing and guidance of industry stalwarts is a massive advantage. Junaid shared the specific advice he received from both Salman and Shah Rukh. Salman Khan, known for his blockbuster action films, had a very clear vision for Junaid after watching one of his projects. “Salman sir saw the trailer of Loveyapa and he was like, 'Do an action film? You've got the height, do an action film,'” Junaid recalled.
On the other hand, King Khan's interaction with Junaid was filled with his trademark wit and charm. Recounting a meeting at a party, Junaid shared with a smile, “Shah Rukh Khan sir... was like, 'If you ever want to complain about your father, I'm just a phone call away.'” Junaid jokingly admitted that he plans to take the superstar up on that generous offer, quipping that SRK might soon regret it because he would be "constantly calling" him.
Beyond the anecdotes, the conversation also took a candid turn towards the unpredictable nature of the box office. Junaid Khan addressed the recent debacle of his film ‘Ek Din’, which was produced by his father, Aamir Khan, and had even sparked external chatter regarding whether Sai Pallavi was miscast.
Displaying a mature outlook on the film's failure, Junaid admitted, “We were hopeful. But I guess, it didn't do well.” He explained that while the team really liked and enjoyed the project, it unfortunately failed to resonate with the majority of the audience. “That happens sometimes,” he gracefully accepted.
However, the failure hit the film's producer a bit harder. When asked how Aamir Khan was coping with the underwhelming performance of ‘Ek Din’, Junaid revealed that his father becomes deeply attached to the films he produces and takes time to come to terms with their outcome. Even after years of experience and seeing everything the industry has to offer, box office failures still deeply bother him.
Yet, true to his resilient nature, Aamir remains hopeful. Junaid concluded by sharing that his father simply keeps himself busy, gets back to work, and goes right back out there to “do it all over again”.
