Suhana Khan Felt “Extremely Insignificant” On First Day Of ‘The Archies’ Shoot. Here’s Why

We’ve all gone through many firsts in our lives, some of which might have required us to muster up all the courage we have, be it riding a vehicle for the first time or pulling off an outfit we thought wouldn’t look that great. And celebrities are no different! Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan recently opened up about how she felt extremely “nervous” on her first day on the sets of her debut movie ‘The Archies’. For the unversed, Suhana Khan is all set to foray into acting with Zoya Akhtar’s highly-anticipated movie, ‘The Archies’.
The upcoming Netflix film will also mark the acting debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Janhvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi Kapoor. Recently, the cast of ‘The Archies’, along with writer and producer Reema Kagti and Netflix India’s Vice-President of Content, Monika Shergill attended Day 1 of the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2023.
Suhana Khan, who will be seen playing the role of Veronica Lodge in the film, reflected upon her first day on the sets of ‘The Archies’.
Talking about the same, she said, "I guess all of that is very different from being in a Netflix film and being on a real film set as a working actor, I think, from the number of people on set, from the number of lights on set and the hair and makeup and all the chaos. And in the middle of this, I felt extremely insignificant. And, I guess I kind of knew that everything that everyone was doing around me was felicitating the director’s vision, Zoya’s vision and I guess knowing that on my first day and realising that, I felt extremely nervous."
Talking about her parents Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Suhana said, "I wouldn’t say my critic, but my biggest source of guidance is my parents. My entire family feels to chip in and help each other out."
‘The Archies’ is an Indian live-action musical movie based on the popular American comics of the same name. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina are also a part of the cast of ‘The Archies’.
In the film, Suhana Khan will essay the character of Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda of Archie Andrews and Khushi Kapoor of Betty Cooper. Vedang Raina will be seen as Reggie Mantle, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones and Aditi Dot as Ethel Muggs.
‘The Archies’ will release on Netflix on December 7. The movie has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and it has been co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Sharad Devarajan under their production houses Tiger Baby and Graphic India.
