No mountain expedition is complete without conquering extreme elevations. One of the standout videos captured a yellow Border Roads Organisation (BRO) milestone marking Kaksang La Top at a staggering 17,851 feet – ranked among the highest motorable passes in the world.
The camera panned across wide sweeps of rugged terrain, wind-whipped prayer flags fluttering against green signboards, and turquoise high-altitude lakes shimmering thousands of feet below. A quick rearview mirror clip from her road trip also captured the winding mountain roads disappearing into the distant plains.
Sara’s itinerary packed plenty of adventure and spiritual exploration. Ditching heavy layers for a sunny afternoon hike, Sara donned a sporty trekking fit – beige utility shorts, a white fitted tee, sneakers, and a wide-brim khaki sun hat. Clips showed her navigating narrow dirt trails cutting through towering rocky canyons, with ancient stone stupas perched precariously along the sheer cliffs.
Reaching the remote Phuktal (Phukthar) Monastery, Sara posed beneath the colourful, traditionally carved Buddhist entry gate flanked by two travel companions. She layered a bright orange puffer over a white crop top and track pants.
Sara treated fans to a glimpse inside the ancient sanctuary. One sweeping video taken from an elevated window framed whitewashed stupas overlooking a winding river valley far below. Another evocative still revealed the rustic interior of a traditional monastery cave kitchen, complete with soot-stained rock walls, copper pots, and a local resident resting by the hearth.
As the sun began to dip, the landscapes turned completely surreal. Sara Ali Khan shared breathtaking, still captures of alpine waters reflecting snow-dusted ridges, puffy white clouds, and colourful expedition tents camped peacefully along the grassy banks.
A dreamy landscape video captured the full moon rising in a pastel sky just as the setting sun cast warm, golden hues over the jagged mountain tops. Ending the day on a cozy note, the Bollywood actress bundled up inside a bright yellow camp tent wearing a down jacket, a vibrant printed wool scarf, a black beanie, and oversized plush white earmuffs.
Smiling warmly, Sara Ali Khan joined the camp crew as evening tea bubbled on portable gas stoves. The final evening snapshot saw Sara huddled close to a crackling lakeside bonfire under the moonlight, holding her hands to the flames with a wide, content grin.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan was last seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’. The movie, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi, released in theatres on May 15.
