Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana To Collaborate For Horror-Comedy 'Vampires Of Vijay Nagar': Report
As per a report, Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana are all set to collaborate for horror-comedy 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar'.
Producer Dinesh Vijan has successfully managed to master the art of creating perfect horror comedies. He is celebrating the success of his latest film 'Munjya', as the new Hindi film is nearing the Rs 100 crore mark. For the unversed, Dinesh Vijan started the horror comedy universe with 'Stree' in 2018, and he followed it up with 'Roohi', 'Bhediya', and 'Munjya'. 'Stree 2' is gearing up for release in August 2024, and in the latest entertainment news, a Pinkvilla report states that Dinesh Vijan is reuniting with 'Munjya' director, Aditya Satpodar, for 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar'.
The same report states that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be playing the leads in this horror comedy set against the backdrop of vampires.
"Ayushmann Khurrana and Dinesh Vijan have previously worked together on Bala and share a great creative bond. They have been discussing Vampires of Vijay Nagar for a while now and are all set to take the film on floors by the end of this year," Pinkvilla cited a source as saying.
"It will mark the first collaboration of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Both the actors have a very unique arc in the film, which will take the audiences by surprise. The script is presently in the writing stage and will soon get into the pre-production stage," the source added.
Before moving to 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar', Ayushmann Khurrana is expected to wrap up shooting for the yet-untitled spy comedy produced by Karan Johar.
Ayushmann Khurrana is also expected to commence shooting for 'Border 2'.
On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will wrap up shooting for 'Pushpa 2' with Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, and 'Sikandar' with Salman Khan before moving to 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar'.
