As per a report, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' has been postponed.

'Pushpa 2: The Rule', directed by Sukumar, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, is one of the most-awaited Indian movies of 2024. The film is a sequel to the 2021 smash-hit 'Pushpa: The Rise'. Earlier this year, the makers had stated that the upcoming Telugu film will be released in cinemas on August 15, 2024. In the latest entertainment news, we have some sad news for you. As per a report in Pinkvilla, 'Pushpa 2' is no longer releasing on Independence Day 2024, and it has been postponed.

"The discussions about delay in Pushpa have been going on for a while now, as the makers were always racing against time to finish the shoot and lock their edit for Independence Day 2024 weekend. It’s yesterday that they finally decided to delay the release date and an official announcement on the new date is expected to be made in a day or two," Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.

"Pushpa 2 team is considering several date options – which includes Dussehra 2024, December 2024, and Pongal 2025. However, the way things are moving, it seems that Pushpa 2 will arrive in the month of December," the source added.

So far, the makers have unveiled a teaser and two songs, when it comes to 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The sequel will mainly feature on the conflict between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.

For the unversed, 'Pushpa: The Rise' had released in cinemas on December 17, 2021.

Directed by Sukumar, the last leg of shooting for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is currently underway. Previously, Rashmika Mandanna talked about the much-awaited film when she promised that it would be “bigger” than ever.

“I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film; in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that,” she had told Pinkvilla.
