Keeping the celebration understated yet chic, Deepika Padukone opted for an effortlessly casual look, sporting a classic white T-shirt paired with blue denims. Ranveer Singh mirrored her relaxed vibe in a blue T-shirt and jeans. Despite their attempt at a quiet meal, news of their presence quickly spread, leading to a massive crowd of admirers gathering outside the Worli eatery.
As the couple exited the restaurant, the atmosphere turned electric. Fans erupted into loud cheers, chanting "Babbar Sher" in honour of Ranveer’s fierce portrayal in the film. While a team of bodyguards assisted them through the sea of fans, the couple remained gracious.
Inside the restaurant, pictures surfaced showing the duo beaming with joy while posing for selfies with the restaurant staff and fellow diners. Ranveer was also seen acknowledging his younger admirers, stopping to shake hands with fans who had waited hours for a glimpse of him.
The public appearance serves as a subtle yet firm response to recent social media chatter. For the past few days, internet users had been raising eyebrows over Deepika’s silence regarding ‘Dhurandhar 2’, noting the absence of a formal appreciation post on her social media handles. However, observers noted that Deepika appeared as the proud wife throughout the afternoon, smiling brightly at the fan frenzy surrounding her husband. Her quiet presence by his side seemed to reaffirm that her support remains a solid pillar behind the scenes, far beyond the need for digital validation.
‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has rewritten the rules of the spy thriller genre in India. Following a bumper opening on its first day, the sequel has outperformed its predecessor. The film features Ranveer as Hamza Ali Mazari, tracing the origin story of an Indian spy operating within Pakistan. The star-studded cast, including Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, has contributed to a cinematic experience that many are calling "unforgettable."
It isn't just the audience fuelled by ‘Dhurandhar’ fever; the industry’s elite are also taking note. Ranveer’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ co-star, Alia Bhatt, recently took to Instagram to share her review of the film. Posting a glimpse of a pivotal scene, she wrote, “Jaskirat Singh Rangi and this moment... is everything. The magic of the director and the actor in complete sync! Congratulations Team Dhurandhar for this historic run.”
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor also shared his admiration for the franchise during a live session, noting that the cast and crew “really smashed it.” With ‘Dhurandhar 2’ projected to surpass the Rs 1,300 crore worldwide lifetime collection of the first installment, the celebrations for the Singh-Padukone household are likely just beginning.
