'Shaitaan' actor R Madhavan has revealed his costliest purchase and you will be shocked to know what it is?

R Madhavan is winning a lot of praise for his work as the main antagonist in Ajay Devgn and Jyotika-starrer 'Shaitaan'. The new Hindi movie, which released in cinemas on March 8, has already gone past the Rs 100 crore club in India. Madhavan is winning applause for his work as the main villain, and cinephiles are loving his act. In the latest Bollywood celebrity news, R Madhavan has revealed his costliest purchase. Before we say it all, can you guess what it is?

“The most expensive purchase that I bought is the house that I have. It’s quite expensive. Does a family of three require that big a house? Not at all. But apart from that house the most expensive thing I got was a yacht. I bought it because I always wanted to take a captain’s license and during Covid I had nothing to do so I gave my exam and it took me six months," R Madhavan was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

"So, now I am a licensed captain who can sail a 40-foot yacht or a boat and just to scratch that off my bucket list, I bought the yacht and I enjoy it thoroughly," he added.

R Madhavan also spoke about how the yacht brings him tranquility and spiritual fulfillment.

“It is a place for me to write. I take it out to the sea and I park overnight, I look at the dolphins fly around as I write my stories, it is the best purchase of my life. It is parked in Dubai. It has brought me a lot closer to nirvana," said R Madhavan.

For the unversed, a 30 or 40-foot yacht costs anything between USD 500,000 to USD 2 million, as per estimates.

Coming back to 'Shaitaan', the Vikas Bahl-directorial made Rs 10.17 crore on Sunday, the 10th day of its release. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the total nett domestic collection of 'Shaitaan' now stands at Rs 106.01 crore.

'Shaitaan' had an overall 36.03 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday, as per Sacnilk.

The new Hindi film has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios.
