Ar Rahman concert stopped by Pune Police
AR Rahman concert was stopped by Pune Police. Here's why.

AR Rahman is currently trending on Twitter and the reason is his concert in Pune. The local police entered the arena and they stopped the concert suddenly and fans are not pleased with this act. In the latest entertainment news, the music maestro shared a video from the concert in which he can be seen performing on the stage along with his fellow singers and musicians. The video also showed a cop stepping onto the stage as AR Rahman was performing, and then gesturing (even pointing a finger at AR Rahman) for the performance to stop.

Watch the video here:

"Did we all just have the “Rockstar” moment on stage yesterday? I think we did! We were overwhelmed by the love of the audience and kept wanting to give more..Pune, thank you once again for such a memorable evening. Here’s a little snippet of our roller coaster ride," AR Rahman tweeted.

As soon as a cop enters the stage, AR Rahman can be heard as saying: "Okay. I think we overpoured love and we are overboard the time. That's it, we are done. Timing is over. I like this. Thank you city of Pune, the organisers, and the amazing band."

Here are some of the fan reactions:

On Monday, news agency ANI had reported that the Pune Police stopped the concert after he continued to perform "beyond the permissible time of 10pm."

“Pune Police stopped music maestro AR Rahman from singing during his concert last night after he continued to perform beyond the permissible time of 10pm," news agency ANI tweeted.

AR Rahman is currently enjoying the success of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. The maestro has provided music for the movie, and both critics and audiences are loving his work and how the music has aided the film.

'Ponniyin Selvan 2' which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Trisha and Vikram has already grossed over Rs 200 crore worldwide.
