Angry Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Her AI Pics Dressed In Suits Instead Of Sarees At Parliament
Kangana Ranaut slammed creators for using AI to alter her appearance, calling the edits a “violation”.
Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut is the latest celebrity to voice her frustration over Artificial Intelligence (AI) being used to alter her appearance. Kangana took to Instagram to call out several AI-edited images that showed her in formal suits instead of her actual attire. On Monday, the BJP MP re-shared a post from an Instagram user that featured her exiting Parliament. However, while Kangana has consistently opted for sarees for her Parliament appearances since being elected in June 2024, the AI-edited photos depicted her in blue, brown, and rust-coloured suits complete with shirts and ties.
Expressing her anger over the digital manipulation, Kangana Ranaut demanded that creators stop using AI on her photos. She emphasised that how she presents herself is her personal choice.
“This is violating beyond words,” she wrote. “Every day I wake up to see myself in various AI clothes, various makeups... people should stop dressing up others!! Please stop with these AI edits and let me choose/decide how I want to look... that is entirely my prerogative,” she added.
Before her political journey, Kangana Ranaut established herself as one of Bollywood’s most powerhouse performers. She entered the industry in 2006 with the thriller ‘Gangster’.
Her filmography includes hits like ‘Fashion’, ‘Life in a Metro’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Queen’, ‘Panga’, and ‘Manikarnika’. She is a recipient of multiple National Film Awards and the prestigious Padma Shri.
Kangana Ranaut had stepped behind the camera for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and her last release, ‘Emergency’. Fans last saw Kangana on the big screen in ‘Emergency’ (released January 17, 2025), where she played former PM Indira Gandhi.
The Bollywood actress is now set to go global with her Hollywood debut in the horror drama 'Blessed Be the Evil'. Directed by Anurag Rudra, the film stars Kangana in a lead role alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone. Production is scheduled to begin this summer in New York.
