His son, Tusshar Kapoor, later confirmed the same in a statement to Bombay Times, saying, “He is absolutely fine. According to him, it was just a minor fall.”
The clarification from Tusshar Kapoor brought relief to fans who had flooded social media with messages of concern following reports of the incident.
Jeetendra, often fondly remembered as Bollywood’s “Jumping Jack” for his energetic dance moves and charismatic screen presence, has been a beloved figure in the industry for decades. His rare public appearances often draw significant attention, and this particular outing was no exception. The actor’s grace in handling the situation reflected his composed demeanour and professionalism even in unexpected circumstances.
The prayer meet was organised to honour the late Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor and filmmaker Sanjay Khan, who passed away on November 7 at her Mumbai home after a prolonged illness. She was 81 years old. The gathering drew several prominent names from the film industry, including Rani Mukerji, Hrithik Roshan, Saba Azad, Aly Goni, Jasmin Bhasin, and others, all of whom came together to pay their last respects.
Zarine Khan, a former model and interior designer, was known for her elegance, charm, and strong presence in Bollywood’s social circles. Her funeral took place the same day, with her son Zayed Khan performing the last rites according to Hindu traditions. She is survived by her husband, Sanjay Khan, and their four children – Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan.
