Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is widely celebrated for his impeccable lip-syncing skills on screen, so much so that even fellow star Alia Bhatt once took lessons from the megastar. However, a recent social media update proved that even the Badshah of Bollywood can find certain songs challenging. SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan gave fans a delightful glimpse into her festive preparations by sharing a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) transition reel on Instagram as she got ready to attend Manish Malhotra’s Diwali bash.
In the video, the young actress is seen getting her hair and make-up done while effortlessly lip-syncing to Ed Sheeran’s fast-paced lyrics in the track ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’, ending with a seamless transition from wearing a night suit to looking stunning in a red and gold lehenga for the celebration.

The reel quickly caught the attention of several celebrities, but it was Shah Rukh Khan’s sweet and relatable reaction that stole the show. The superstar was thoroughly impressed by his daughter’s performance and was quick to leave a comment marvelling at her memory. Admitting his own struggles with the track, he wrote, "How do you remember the words!!! It was so difficult for me because Ed sings so fast!!!".
Fans were thrilled by the father-daughter interaction, dropping comments like "because she's your daughter," "She got these skills from you," "father cheering for his daughter is the best thing ever," and "everything is possible for King and his princess".
Suhana's close friend Ananya Panday also loved the video, commenting, "Never seen a cuter thing in my life". Other celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Shanaya Kapoor, Orry, and Navya Nanda, were among those who showed their appreciation for the post.
The song ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’, which was released on November 2 coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday, has already taken the internet by surprise. Marking British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s Bollywood playback debut, his English rap features alongside the melodious vocals of Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi. Composed by the music duo Sachin-Jigar, the track features lyrics penned by Kumaar, while Sheeran wrote the English portion himself. Choreographed by Piyush-Shazia, the song seamlessly combines Indian film music with international pop influences. Its accompanying music video blends romance, action, and drama, bringing Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone together on screen once again. While the two actors share romantic moments, Shah Rukh is also seen lip-syncing to Sheeran’s rap and taking on opponents in intense action sequences, offering a glimpse into the darker setting of the film.
The collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Ed Sheeran was years in the making. In a social media post, Sheeran revealed that his association with Shah Rukh had grown steadily following their first meeting. He recalled how the actor suggested he create a song for his next film, which ultimately became his Bollywood debut. The British singer also shared the backstory, recalling a visit to Shah Rukh’s house during his last trip to India to shoot a cameo for his song ‘Sapphire’, featuring Arijit Singh. During that memorable visit, Shah Rukh introduced him to the music composer duo Sachin-Jigar, and Sheeran wrote and recorded his verse for ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ that very night.
‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ is the first track from the highly anticipated upcoming action film ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film features a massive ensemble cast starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. The movie also includes Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles.
The project is incredibly significant as it marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut – following her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film ‘The Archies’ – as well as Shah Rukh’s return to the big screen after three years. Furthermore, it marks the sixth collaboration between Shah Rukh and Deepika. Fans can look forward to seeing the action unfold when ‘King’ arrives in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026.
