After Rohan proposed last year, they officially got engaged in an intimate October ceremony. Rohan complemented her perfectly in a brocade ivory-gold sherwani and a matching turban.

Taking to Instagram to share the magic, Anshula penned: “06.07.2026 Of all the people. Of all the places. Of all the timing. It was you. And somehow, through every twist, detour, and surprise, it is still you. My favourite conversation. My safest place. My easiest choice. Always you @rohanthakkar1511.”

In a deeply touching detail, a framed portrait of Anshula and brother Arjun Kapoor’s late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, was placed directly beside the wedding rituals.

The wedding was a massive family affair. Anshula and Arjun are Boney Kapoor's children from his first wife, while Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor are his daughters from his second wife, the late actress Sridevi. Janhvi and Khushi fully took charge of the wedding planning and arrangements, notably standing on either side of the couple during the sindoor daan to ensure everything followed tradition.

Brother Arjun Kapoor shared a Sunday carousel of photos, including an emotional shot of Anshula tightly hugging him, the Kapoor family posing together, and the bride playfully teasing Rohan by holding her mehendi-covered hands in front of his face. He wrote: “A lot of emotions, a lot of happiness…and this is just the beginning. Started with mehendi, ended with even fuller hearts.”

The festivities kicked off on June 21 with a Mata Ki Chowki at Anshula’s home, hosted by Rohan’s family. Attended by Maheep, Shanaya, Janhvi, and Khushi in traditional attire, Anshula wore a bespoke gold IRTH ensemble styled by Mohit Rai, featuring Banarasi silk tissue brocades and a handcrafted Phulkari dupatta. She noted the dupatta is “long associated with love, blessings and new beginnings,” adding, “It felt like a small tribute to my roots, and the beautiful journey that brought me here.”

The star-studded Mehendi was a complete surprise planned by Janhvi and Khushi. The guest list included Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Karisma Kapoor, and cousin Jahaan Kapoor. Anshula dazzled in custom Arpita Mehta – the designer's first-ever Patola-inspired bridal piece. Made of teal blue Bandhani Banarasi fabric, it featured kodi shells, antique metal coins, and ghungroo accents.

“For my mehendi, I wanted my outfit to honour the family I was stepping into…@janhvikapoor and @khushikapoor planned the entire mehendi as a surprise. I knew there was a celebration – I just had no idea what they had dreamt up. Watching it all unfold, surrounded by so much love, is a memory I'll hold onto forever,” Anshula wrote, later adding, “The colours, the chaos, the love, and a heart completely full @janhvikapoor and @khushikapoor, thank you for giving me a mehendi beyond what I could have dreamed of! Every thoughtful touch, every beautiful corner, every moment reflected the love and care you poured into making it so special. The greatest gift was that I could simply be present, soak it all in, and feel completely celebrated because you had taken care of absolutely everything. Thank you for giving me one of the happiest days of my life. I love you both endlessly.”

For the Chooda ceremony, she wore a soft sage green kurta set by Punit Balana with Chandi Tilla embroidery. Her personalized kaleeras were the highlight of the look. “My chooda and kalire were lovingly customized by @mrinalinichandra. Each kalira has a blessing embossed onto it – words like love, joy, and magic. As my family and closest friends tied them onto my wrists, they were wishing those blessings upon me,” Anshula shared, noting that when a kalira falls on someone, she wishes the same for them.

From the deeply emotional sibling embraces to a bridal wardrobe that beautifully honoured both her Punjabi roots and her new Gujarati family, the wedding was a perfect culmination of their four-year love story.
