Govinda Releases First Statement After Accidentally Shooting Himself
Bollywood actor Govinda has released a statement from the hospital, confirming the shooting incident.
Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader, Govinda has undergone emergency surgery at the Criti Care hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, after accidentally shooting himself in the leg as his licensed gun misfired. As per The Indian Express, Govinda is now out of danger and recovering well. In an audio statement released to the media by Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde, Govinda in Hindi said, "Hello, this is Govinda. With the blessings of my fans, my parents and God, I am doing better now."
"I was hit by a bullet, which has now been removed. I thank the doctor here, Dr Agarwal ji. I thank all of you for your prayers," he added.

In a video shared by Varinder Chawla on Instagram, actress Kashmera Shah can be seen arriving at the hospital.
When the shutterbugs asked her to speak about the incident, she said, "Kuch nahi."
For the unversed, Kashmera Shah is the wife of Govinda's nephew Krushna Abhishek.
Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office released a statement saying, "Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had a telephonic conversation with actor Govind and inquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. CM has also given instructions to the hospital authorities to take best care of Govinda and ensure his speedy recovery."
On Tuesday morning, Govinda was admitted to the Criti Care Hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the leg by his revolver.
As per news agency ANI, the incident took place around 4.45 am on Tuesday. A Mumbai Police official had also confirmed that Govinda is fine and the injury is not serious.
Over the years, Govinda has become a household name due to his slapstick performances and dancing skills.
He is known for movies like 'Raja Babu', 'Saajan Chale Sasural', 'Hero No.1', 'Dulhe Raja', 'Partner', and 'Haseena Maan Jayegi'.
