Ajay Devgn shared a vibrant behind-the-scenes video today, featuring the core ‘Golmaal’ gang against the lush, green backdrop of the Nilgiri trees. In a nod to the franchise's signature slapstick style, the video prominently featured the iconic multi-seater bike – a symbol that has been synonymous with the series since its inception.

However, the most talked-about return is that of Sharman Joshi, who was part of the very first film, ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ (2006), but was absent from the subsequent sequels. The actor, who was officially announced as part of the project on Rohit Shetty’s birthday (March 14, 2026), is reportedly set to play the antagonist. Early BTS footage has teased Akshay in a striking bald look, further fuelling speculation about his character's role in the chaotic universe of ‘Golmaal’.
In a humorous exchange during the announcement, Ajay Devgn even quipped, "Koi franchise nahi chhodta hai ye,” referencing Akshay's knack for joining successful film series.
The ‘Golmaal’ franchise has remained a box-office powerhouse for nearly twenty years.
