'Piku', which released in cinemas on May 8, 2015, is celebrating nine years of its release today.

Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku', starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and the late Irrfan Khan, is one of the most celebrated Indian movies of the last decade. The Hindi film, which was released in cinemas on May 8, 2015, is celebrating nine years of its release today, and to mark the special feat, Deepika Padukone on Wednesday shared an epic throwback picture with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. In the picture, a production assistant can be seen offering a plate of fruits to Amitabh Bachchan as he points towards Deepika Padukone. 

Irrfan Khan can also be seen engaging in a conversation with both Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.

Captioning the post on Instagram, Deepika wrote, "He loves telling everyone how much I eat! @amitabhbachchanc@irrfan Oh how much we miss you…”

For the unversed, earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had spoken about Deepika Padukone's eating habits, saying, "Yeh haar 3 minute mein khaana khati hai ."

Speaking about 'Piku', Deepika Padukone played the role of the daughter of Big B while Irrfan Khan played the character of a cab driver, who takes both Deepika Padukone and Big B on a road trip.

The film is fondly remembered for its humour and showing the loving bond between a father and daughter. 

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in 'Kalki 2898 AD', alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani.

She also has 'Singham Again' in the pipeline. The Rohit Shetty-directorial also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor.
