Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, and several others have shown their support for Deepika Padukone after she was trolled over her baby bump post her recent appearance.
Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently stepped out to vote in Mumbai during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. And soon after her appearance, Deepika Padukone started trending online. The Bollywood actress wore an oversized white shirt and blue jeans, with her baby bump on full display. Curiosity followed, naturally. However, in no time, comments about Deepika Padukone’s baby bump on social media turned mean, intrusive and unsolicited. Several people questioned her walk and even called her baby bump “fake”.
Following the massive social media trolling, journalist Faye D’Souza took to Instagram and shared a post in support of Deepika Padukone.

Soon after the Instagram post surfaced online, several Bollywood actresses showed their support for mom-to-be Deepika Padukone.
Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Neha Dhupia, Bhumi Pednekar, Konkona Sensharma, Bipasha Basu, Rakul Preet Singh, Nimrat Kaur and more liked the post criticising trolls targeting Deepika Padukone’s baby bump.
Aahana Kumra commented on the post, “Good on you Faye.”
Tina Datta wrote, “Exactly man.. people have lost it.”
For the unversed, Deepika Padukone is in her second trimester and is all set to welcome her first child with Ranveer Singh in September 2024.
Ever since the Bollywood actress announced her pregnancy, she has become a target of trolls. Earlier, several people online doubted if she is really pregnant as they couldn't spot a bump. Some even declared that Deepika Padukone is becoming a mother via surrogacy.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone will be next seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. Deepika will also feature in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer ‘Singham Again’.
Apart from Deepika Padukone, ‘Singham Again’ will also star Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
