"Aise Kaise...": Aparshakti Khurana's BIG Statement On 'Stree 2' Credit War Between Shraddha Kapoor And Rajkummar Rao
This is what Aparshakti Khurana had to say regarding 'Stree 2' credit war between Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
Amar Kaushik's 'Stree 2', starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, has turned out to be a smash hit at the box office, and the new Hindi film, which released in cinemas on Independence Day 2024, is nearing the Rs 500 crore mark in India. However, the film's success has been dented by a huge credit war that has broken out on the internet, with several fans debating which actor deserves the credit for the film's success. Several fans believe that Shraddha Kapoor deserves the credit as she is the biggest crowd-puller among the cast, while others believe that it is Rajkummar Rao, who deserves the plaudits for his impeccable acting.
In the latest entertainment news, Aparshakti Khurana has broken his silence on the raging issue, and he said that the credit belongs to everyone, and not anyone in particular.
"I would only say that, and not to sound diplomatic, that aise kaise ho sakta bhai ki ek insaan ne film bana di aur ek insaan ne kar di acting It is not possible. The film is made by the producer, director, writer, and the five actors, and the film then belongs to the audience. There is equal contribution from the makers, the audiences, and the media, for keeping the momentum going since the film was announced. It is an equal contribution of everyone attached to the film, it would not be possible to make it even if one person was missing," Indian Express quoted Aparshakti as saying.
"A film rarely receives so much love. Our performances and the film’s storyline are being appreciated. Stree 2 has become a phenomenon and the outpouring of love by the audience and the critics is surreal, but we worked hard on it. It was a beautiful experience getting together to make Stree 2. It is also now an added responsibility for the next part," he added.
Giving credit to the director Amar Kaushik, Aparshakti said, "“This was all possible even after all of us were doing good work in our space. Rajkummar Rao was coming after Mahi, I was coming after Jubilee, Abhishek was coming from Apurva, Shraddha was coming from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Pankaj ji had OMG 2, and Fukrey."
"In the five years (after Stree) and all the amazing work every one of us had done, we could still get back to where we had left Stree and take it a notch higher. It says a lot about our dedication and commitment to Stree and I can’t stop lading the makers, our director Amar Kaushik who could build the world of Stree all over again and make it even bigger this time," he added.
Talking about 'Stree 2', the film earned Rs 7.75 crore on Friday, the 16th day of its release. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi movie now stands at Rs 440.80 crore.
For the unversed, 'Stree 2' also features cameos by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
