Marking her debut as a producer, this film featured Anushka Sharma in a raw, gritty, and powerhouse performance as Meera. To celebrate her birthday, Meera and her on-screen husband embarked on a seemingly chill road trip that swiftly turned into a horrific night. After encountering a violent honour killing and getting entangled with a ruthless gang, Meera was forced to fight for survival on an unknown highway. 3. Sultan (Netflix)

This massive commercial hit and romantic sports drama was set in Haryana and starred Anushka opposite Salman Khan. She played Aarfa, a fierce wrestler and coach who brought ambition back to life for local wrestler Sultan Ali Khan (Salman). Anushka underwent intense real-life training to ensure her athletic performance looked completely authentic. The emotional narrative followed their rise to international games, while also delving into the tragic loss of their son due to a rare blood type shortage. She starred as Jagat Janani Sahni, fondly known as Jaggu, a determined journalist who became a true friend to an innocent alien (Aamir Khan) lost on Earth without his communication device. Aditya Chopra’s blockbuster hit marked Anushka Sharma’s spectacular debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She played Taani, a lively young woman with a passion for dance who got married to Surinder, a simple, middle-class man. What began as a slow marriage beautifully shifted when Surinder confidently expressed his feelings of romance, eventually leading Taani to realise he is the man of her dreams.
