In a delightful crossover of fandoms, Allu Arjun was spotted at Mahesh Babu’s AMB Cinemas in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Thursday evening. Interestingly, the actor gave his own theatre, AAA Cinemas, a miss to catch a screening of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer Singh. The ‘Pushpa’ star kept his look casual yet stylish for the movie night, dressed in dark denim paired with a white T-shirt and a layered grey shirt. His security team had to form a human shield to hold back the enthusiastic crowd as admirers clamoured to click pictures while he made his way to his car.

Allu Arjun later also shared his thoughts about the film on X (formerly Twitter), calling Ranveer Singh's performance "magnetic".

It was a busy evening at AMB Cinemas, as director Sandeep Raj was also holding a screening for his upcoming film ‘Mowgli’ (starring Roshan Kanakala), which is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad.

Allu Arjun took a moment to stop by and greet the team. He was seen smiling widely, shaking hands with Roshan Kanakala, and wishing him luck for the film. ‘Mowgli’, which also saw attendance from celebs like Sree Vishnu and Anudeep KV, is set to release on December 13, having pushed its date by a day to accommodate Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2’.

Allu Arjun is currently riding the high of a historic phase in his career. After dedicating five years to Sukumar’s franchise, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ (2024) emerged as a box office juggernaut. It is now the highest-grossing Telugu film and the second highest-grossing Indian film globally (after ‘Dangal’), with a massive worldwide haul of Rs 1871 crore.

Looking ahead, the actor is currently shooting for director Atlee’s yet-to-be-titled sci-fi entertainer, which features Deepika Padukone as the female lead.

The film Allu Arjun went to watch, ‘Dhurandhar’, is proving to be a massive success. The Aditya Dhar directorial features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating terror networks in Lyari, Pakistan. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

Released on December 5, the film has been unstoppable. On its seventh day (Friday), the film minted an estimated Rs 27 crore, taking its grand domestic total to a staggering Rs 207.25 crore.

It has already surpassed the lifetime domestic collections of major releases like ‘Sikandar’ (Rs 109.83 crore), ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ (Rs 153.55 crore), and ‘Raid 2’ (Rs 173.05 crore).

In just six days, the film grossed Rs 274.25 crore globally, with the makers confirming a Thursday collection of Rs 29.20 crore.

Fans of the spy thriller won’t have to wait too long for the conclusion, as the second part of the film is officially scheduled to hit theatres next year on March 19.
