Alia Bhatt shared a heartwarming photo dump from best friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor's wedding festivities, offering fans a glimpse of her stunning bridesmaid looks and emotional moments.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is in full bridesmaid mode, and she has the right photo dump to prove it. The actress took to Instagram with a heart-melting set of pictures from the wedding festivities of her best friend and actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, keeping the caption as understated as the images are lavish: "This. just this". The post has already racked up more than 1.1 million likes, with Alia's mother Soni Razdan gushing "Sooooo beautiful" and the new bride herself teasing in the comments, "How have you naughty girls posted before me."
For the uninitiated: Akansha Ranjan Kapoor – younger sister of actress Anushka Ranjan and one of Alia's oldest friends – tied the knot with filmmaker Sharan Sharma (‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’) in an intimate sunset ceremony at their Mumbai home on July 11, the very date the couple began dating four years ago.
Alia opened and anchored the dump with her showstopping pre-wedding look: a strapless deep-purple satin corset fastened with knotted passementerie loops running down the front, paired with a purple chinoiserie-print drape whose reverse flashed a pop of lemon yellow. She rounded it off with a gold-and-diamond floral choker, matching statement earrings and a slicked-back, centre-parted low bun – pure old-money glamour.

A run of moody, cinematic portraits followed. In one series, she stunned in a blue-grey textured tissue saree with a gold zari border, a delicate matha patti, round jhumkas and a neat low bun, shot in soft profile against a warm, painterly backdrop. In another dramatically lit set, she switched to a charcoal Kutchi mirror-work (sheesha) ensemble with a full-sleeve, backless blouse, clutching an embellished potli – the multicoloured mirror embroidery glowing against a golden curtain.
The candids were where the love truly shined. There was the already-viral moment of Alia – in her blue saree, round Gucci glasses and green kundan earrings — planting a kiss on a beaming Akansha, radiant in her red-and-gold bridal saree, emerald jewellery and mehendi-laden hands.
