On Sunday, the couple invited a massive array of friends and colleagues from the film industry to celebrate their special milestone. For their wedding reception, the bride and groom opted for a classic and sophisticated gold and black combination. Akansha Ranjan Kapoor looked absolutely breathtaking in a light gold mermaid lehenga. The exquisite ensemble featured intricate crystal embellishments and was perfectly complemented by a stunning cape, custom-designed by Gaurav Gupta. Beside her, director Sharan Sharma looked incredibly dapper, donning a sharp black bandhgala, which he paired flawlessly with black trousers and leather shoes.
The guest list for the evening read like a who’s who of Bollywood royalty. While Ranbir Kapoor had previously accompanied his wife Alia Bhatt to her BFF Akansha’s lively sangeet night, he was not spotted at the reception function. Nevertheless, Alia Bhatt turned heads in one of the inside pictures, striking a pose in a gorgeous black saree adorned with all-over embroidery. She accessorised her elegant look with a beautiful maang tika, statement earrings, and a simple black bindi.

The Bhatt family was out in full force to support the couple; Alia’s entire family graced the reception night, including Shaheen Bhatt with her fiancee Ishaan Mehra, Mahesh Bhatt, and Soni Razdan.
The bride’s sister, Anushka Ranjan, who is expecting her first baby with Aditya Seal, was happily snapped posing for the paparazzi in a vibrant red Benarsi silk saree. The glittering evening also saw attendance from Bobby Deol, Boman Irani, Sonakshi Sinha, Jackie Shroff, and Boney Kapoor.
